CURRENT & FUTURE EVENTS

Coffee Mornings. The Coffee mornings are continuing to run successfully. 17 attended the June meeting. Our thanks again go to Vanessa and Sarah for their efforts. Hopefully at least one other of our members will be able to support Vanessa next month and we will continue to be grateful to the kind folk who donate cakes etc.

Horse Race Night. The general consensus was that one Race Night per year is preferred and that Spring is the best timing.

Social event. It was agreed that we try out a table tennis evening among ourselves on Thursday 15th. July from 8:00pm. (The same night as the Coffee Morning). Bernard will try to track down the ex-youth club kit.

DISCUSSION ON PROVIDING GRANT SUPPORT FOR LOCAL GROUPS AND ACTIVITIES

bulletSailing opportunities for young folk. Sarah reported that she has contacted Richard from Plume and that the headmaster is against any activity which might present any perceived risk to the children. Mick agreed to contact William de Ferrers school staff to check their attitude.
bulletWe will continue to advertise our small grant scheme in the Parish Magazine and in the local press.

Any Other Business

The topic of an instant water heater for tea/coffee was raised again as a means of saving electricity and improving health and safety for users. Mick agreed to ask Karen to identify a potential manufacturer and model.

There was no other business raised.
